Meet Jaclyn Carrell
Independent Leader for Volusia County Schools

As a mother of four and a local business owner, Jaclyn Carrell has a vested interest in the success of Volusia County Schools. For 17 years, she has lived in West Volusia, experiencing firsthand how district decisions impact our students, our property values, and our local economy.
Volusia County Schools manages a massive budget, yet our district has faced multi-million dollar operating deficits. We cannot afford business as usual. As a private-sector executive and nonprofit president, Jaclyn knows how to balance a budget, demand accountability, and cut bureaucratic waste—executive skills desperately needed on our School Board.
Jaclyn is a proven civic leader dedicated to West Volusia. She has spent her career building coalitions and delivering results for our community, and she will bring that same independent, taxpayer-focused leadership to the School Board.
"Taxpayers deserve a board that manages our budget in the sunshine, completely free from bureaucratic secrecy. I am running to open the books and put our classrooms first."
